Come prepared to class with appropriate notebook (3-ring binder with lined paper), text, and necessary writing equipment (blue pen, red pen, pencil, eraser, ruler, protractor) and calculator.
The three-ring binder shall contain only material relevant to the course.
Textbooks are provided by the school and are the your personal responsibility. Textbooks are issued by number. Lost or damaged (beyond normal wear) textbooks must be paid for. Textbooks currently range from $85 to $120 to replace!!!!
ATTEND!! Student absences have a negative impact upon grades and it is unlikely that a student who misses more than 10 days in the semester will pass the course. Students may complete laboratory work missed for days absent provided that the absence is legitimate and a note has been provided. You have up to three days upon your return to complete any missed assignments/laboratory work -- plan on staying behind after school to do the lab activity. You will be expected to make your own transportation arrangements if needed.
BE IN CLASS ON TIME! Interruptions to class due to tardiness will not be tolerated. You will be considered late to class once the bell to indicate the start of the period has sounded (or if the national anthem begins). If you are late and the door is closed, please wait quietly outside the door until I am prepared to admit you to class. Please take note of the attendance and late policies outlined in your student planner.

COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNMENTS ON SCHEDULE. All assignments are collected on the due date, at the start of class. Please refer to the Course Overview sheets for further instructions.
ASK FOR HELP as needed. As soon as you do not understand a concept or topic discussed in class, ask for clarification. Don't wait until the day before or the day of the test and expect to, in 30 minutes, learn everything! If extra help is required, I am available at lunch or after school -- an appointment is requested as I may be attending administrative meetings.
